Tuesday early lunch. Just came out of the airport after an early morning flight and stopped for some lunch. The parking area warns you to lock your car and take all your valuables, we were one of only a few cars so it was a bit concerning but the reviews were awesome so we kept moving. Everywhere we have gone in Houston has these signs so ... So glad we did ... The lunch special we got includes 1 meat, 2 sides and a tea. The serving sizes are huge and so tasty. We had the pulled pork, broccoli & rice casserole, green beans, cabbage, cole slaw and Turkey. Loved it all ! Watched someone eat ribs and they were falling-off-the-bone, we want those next time! #Recommended #VickieTravelz

Okay so let's talk barbecue. I went to this place as a recommendation from my co-workers on a recent trip to Houston Texas. I know my barbecue and this place was spot on. From their selections of meat choices to their awesome and quite lengthy selections of side dishes. I ordered the brisket and sliced white meat chicken 2 meat combo with my sides being broccoli rice casserole and country greens. The brisket was very tender and so was the sliced chicken breast. The portions were generous and the prices were about average for a barbecue joint. I docked them one star on atmosphere only because it's located in a crappy part of Houston. Word of advice, if you're going to be staying in the southern part of Houston and/or Harris county you definitely do not want to stay near the Hobby Airport or the municipality of South Houston. A nicer place to stay is League City or the NASA area. Just sayin.....

BBQ near Hobby Airport! We stumbled upon an incredible local BBQ joint Central Texas bbq, near Hobby Airport and were blown away by its charm and character. The owner, Tommy, is a genuine gem himself – both passionate about barbecue and an avid fisherman, which led to him hitting it off with my husband! The food was absolutely delicious, with smoky flavors that left us wanting more. Our favorites on this trip were the juicy jalapeno sausage and fall-off-the-bone ribs, perfectly complemented by creamy mac and cheese and decadent cobblers. And let's not forget the perfectly brewed sweet tea that rounded off the meal perfectly. This place wasn't just a meal; it was an experience. The combination of delicious food, a friendly owner, and a shared love of smoking meat made it a truly memorable stop.

Central Texas Bar-B-Q is some dang good food. Ain't been here in a while, but was happy to see they were still in business and doing well. Today I had a brisket sandwich topped of with some onions. Side of Mac and cheese really satisfied the stomach. Had some blueberry cobbler and a taste of the wife's banana pudding. Yum Give em a try when you're in the neighborhood. Thank you staff for feeding a family passing thru.

You need to be prepared to be in line at least 15 min. This is a very popular and nice place. I ate here on my trip to Houston wanting to have a very local and unique Barbecue experience and this place did not disappoint. You would probably find the place very interesting since they have a lot of classic/old items interesting to see, this resembles like a museum inside the restaurant. Very unique, original and tasty. Well recommended.
